Feminist Book Club Amsterdam #6 | The Power

For our next meeting we have decided to add a bit of fiction to our feminist reading.
On the 15th of April we will pick up Naomi Alderman’s The Power, a science fiction novel which literary editor Justine Jordan describes as “inverting the status quo to devastating effect.”
“What would the world look like if men were afraid of women rather than women being afraid of men?”
In this next session, we will take a look.
The Power was published in 2016 and has received a lot of acclaim since then. At 400 pages it’s quite a long read but hopefully also a page-turner.
We’ll start at our usual time of 19.
About a week before the event we will post a registration form, please fill this in as we need your email address to send you a video-link for the event.
If we are staying optimistic this may well be our last online only event. Hopefully, in the future we could manage a combination of both.
