The Left Hand of Darkness by Ursula K. Le Guin (1969)
April 2 @ 16:00 - 18:00
—Date of event has changed. We will now discuss this April 2nd —
Our March text will be Ursula K. Le Guin’s The Left Hand of Darkness.
In this science fiction we follow a human encountering the inhabitants and cultures of the ‘alien’ Winter for the first time.
We will meet on Sunday 5th March at 16:00 at the community kitchen de peper, located in OT301 (http://www.ot301.nl).
We’ll discuss the text for a couple of hours and then (for those who wish) enjoy a vegan meal (donation based).
If you want to join for dinner you need to call on the same day to reserve (0684781156) or you can sign up at the bar while you’re there.
De peper has a ramp and a large toilet.
If you have access needs regarding the event, that you feel may not already be in place, please get in contact with us so that we can do our best to incorporate these.
We understand that it can be daunting to attend events where you don’t yet know anyone. If you feel worried or socially anxious about attending and would like to meet one of us first also reach out to us.
If you want to attend the session but money reasons make it difficult for you to get hold of the book we will try to help.
Like the FCA more generally we aim to be a harassment free space for everybody. If you are new to our meetings, or feel you need a refresher please read our code of conduct to find out what behaviors we hope for from you, and hold ourselves to in our sessions.
