Sunday Feminist Discussion – FINTA Friendship and Activism
This Sunday’s discussion will explore the theme of FINTA (Female, Intergender, Non-binary, Trans, and Agender) friendships and activism. How are FINTA friendships connected to activism? How do we build and nurture friendships through activism? In what ways can friendship itself be a form of activism? How do we become more resilient through our friendships? What are your associations with friendship and activism? Together, we will reflect on what activist friendships and friendship activism mean to us, while sharing our own experiences and practices.
Created in collaboration with Lene Marquardt, a photography student at KABK. Read more information and register here.

FCA Book Club – Feminism for the World
“In the years since #MeToo, misogyny, sexism and gender based violence have flooded the news and our social media timelines. Anti-privilege politics and intersectionality have entered the mainstream—systematically trolled on one end of the spectrum; embraced, to questionable ends, on the other. But what has this increased visibility entailed, other than the marketisation of the feminist struggle?”

FCA Book Club – Beyond the Gender Binary
“Alok Vaid-Menon, a renowned poet, artist, and LGBTQIA+ rights advocate, deconstructs, demystifies, and reimagines the gender binary in this concise and thought-provoking book. Through insightful text and captivating illustrations, Vaid-Menon challenges traditional gender norms and offers a fresh perspective on gender identity and expression.”
NieuwLand’s 10 Year Anniversary Party
NieuwLand is the FCA’s “home,” where we host our group discussions and our book club. It is an awesome social political community center in Amsterdam-Oost. NieuwLand combines a living collective, workspaces, and a public space which hosts non-commercial and volunteer-run activities – like ours!
NieuwLand will celebrate ten years of community, care and resistance. The day will be full of activities and we hope you will join.
