A poem by Jessica Lentz.
On this clear October morning
The Sky and the Sea are kissing,
The blue of distance is stretching vastly
Like a sleepy cat.
Light-footed, she walks over the lake
Defying the rules known to man
Zwischen Immer und Nie
She floats, each step a song of revolution.
She ascends into the air on the staircase
Crafted out of her sisters’ voices
And as the clouds open onto the Queendom
She hears Eve’s hearty laugh and knows
She’s arrived.
